The Weha Wood insert work tables are made out of solid steel that will support 2cm, 3cm, and laminate granite, engineered stone, quartz, quartzite, and all stone without any problems at all. This table has an open top that is made to have 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 wood to be cut and placed inside the work top. The stone will then sit on top of the wood to prevent scratches as well as to easily slide the wood around the sink and bowl opening for easier fabrication. Use as many 2×4 or 2×6 boards as you choose (the wood does not come with the worktable). It works perfect for full support of sink and bowl cut outs. Do you need to fabricate a double vanity top? Simply move the 2x material between and on both sides of the vanity for full support. The wooden supports are not included with the purchase of the table.
